June 26, 2026, Texarkana Regional Airport
The Texarkana Airshow is back for the first time in 30 years, and it’s landing one week before America turns 250. This is the region’s signature America 250 event and promises a full day at the airport with parachuting soldiers, WWII warbirds, aerobatics, live music, barbecue, and a lot of sky. Here’s everything you need to plan your airshow weekend in Texarkana.
The Aerial Acts
Air entertainment kicks off at 4 p.m., and the lineup runs until 9 p.m.
The U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team opens the show alongside Undaunted Airshows, accompanied by the national anthem.
From there, the lineup spans the full range of what an airshow can be: the WWII Airborne Demo Team, a Coast Guard MH-60 helicopter demonstration from CGAS New Orleans, historic Warbird flights including a B-25 Mitchell bomber, the L-39 Albatross jet from Outlaw Airshows, solo aerobatics from XA-42 and Vampire Airshows, and formation flying from Full Throttle Formation Team.
Plan to arrive no later than 2 p.m. to allow time to park, shuttle in, and find your spot before the sky gets busy.
On the Ground
The gates open at 10 a.m., which means there’s a full six hours of activity before the planes take over. Food trucks and vendors will be set up throughout the grounds, along with static aircraft displays you can walk up to and look at.

Live music kicks off at noon. Heather Linn & the Deacons open, followed by Cam Allen at 1:15 p.m., with Texas red dirt staple Wade Bowen closing out at 2:45 p.m.

Running alongside all of it: a sanctioned barbecue competition with a $10,000 purse put on by the Outlaw Barbecue Association, Ride the Runway sponsored by Texarkana Harley-Davidson, and exotic car ride-alongs from Precision Exotics available to sign up for in advance at precisionexotics.com.
If you want to do the Run the Runway 5K—a morning race that takes participants across an actual airport runway, benefiting For the Sake of One— that starts at 7 a.m.

What to Bring
There’s a clear bag policy in effect. Allowed bags are clear bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″, one-gallon clear resealable bags, and small clutch purses up to 4.5″ x 6.5″. Childcare and medical bags are generally allowed but will be searched.
Beyond that, here’s what to pack:
- Sunscreen and a hat are non-negotiable for a full day outside in late June.
- Bring hearing protection—this is an airshow, and things are going to get loud.
- Clear water bottles are allowed and free water will be available on-site.
- Folding chairs and blankets are encouraged since there’s no fixed seating.
- Strollers and collapsible wagons are welcome.
- Small soft-sided coolers are allowed and subject to search.
Leave these at home:
- large coolers
- outside food or drink pets
- drones
- kites
- balloons
- pop-up tents or canopies
- glass or metal bottles
- weapons of any kind including mace and pepper spray.
Tickets & Parking
Tickets are $10 for adults. Kids 13 and under are free, but you still need to register them when you buy your adult tickets so everyone has a QR code at the gate. Buy tickets —and add your parking—on the airshow website.
No cash or in-person payment will be accepted for tickets or parking. If you show up without a ticket, you’ll be asked to use your phone to scan a QR code on-site and purchase one online before you can get a wristband. Save yourself the hassle and buy before you go.
There is no general on-site parking at the airport. General admission parking is located at the Four States Fairgrounds and with a charter bus shuttle to the event—add the $25 per vehicle parking pass to your order when you check out. Accessible parking is available the fairgrounds.
The shuttles have luggage storage underneath, so if you’re bringing a stroller or bigger gear, you’ve got room for it.
VIP parking is $100 per vehicle and is located at 201 Airport Drive at the old airport terminal, on the north side of the runways. The new terminal parking on the south side is reserved for airline passengers only.
A Little History
The Texarkana Regional Airport has been in operation since 1928. During World War II, it served as a military pilot training base—the same era that produced Tuskegee Airman Woodrow “Woody” Crockett, born near Texarkana, who flew 149 combat missions and became one of the pioneering figures in both military aviation and the integration of the U.S. armed forces.
During the Cold War, the airport was briefly designated Texarkana Air Force Station, operating a radar unit in support of Barksdale Air Force Base.
Aviation went quiet here for a long time after that. In 2025, Texarkana College brought it back with an FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanics program, followed by pilot training.
It’s that program, and its director Brandon Sanders, that put this airshow back on the calendar for the first time in 30 years.
“Aviation has always been about pushing further, going higher, doing what people said couldn’t be done,” Sanders said. “That’s the American story. That’s what we’re celebrating on June 27.”

What is America 250?
America 250 is the national commemoration of the United States’ 250th birthday—250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
Communities across the country are being encouraged to mark the milestone in their own way. Texarkana’s answer is an airshow one week before the Fourth, on a piece of ground with deep military history, featuring the U.S. Army’s own parachute team. It fits.
Coming In From Out of Town?
If you’re driving in from Shreveport, DFW, Tyler, Little Rock, or anywhere in between, make the Arkansas side your base for the weekend. Hotels are just a few minutes from the airport, and staying over means you’re not racing home after a 9 p.m. airshow end time. Explore hotels and lodging in Texarkana.
