Texarkana Hosts NPFL Stop #2 Fishing Tournament at Millwood Lake

Summary

Texarkana welcomes over 100 professional anglers for NPFL Stop #2 at Millwood Lake, featuring daily weigh-ins, a free meet and greet, and tons of fishing action.

Big-Time Fishing Is Coming to Texarkana

Texarkana is about to welcome over 100 of the best professional anglers in the country as the National Professional Fishing League rolls into town for Stop #2 of the 2026 season. For three days, the Millwood Lake area will stay busy with anglers and visitors coming in for the tournament.

Even though the competition takes place just up the road, Texarkana is where it all comes together. It’s where anglers are staying, where visitors are spending their time, and where you can meet the pros at the free Meet & Greet at Spring Lake Park on April 22.

The tournament runs April 23–25, with boats heading out each morning around 7:00 a.m.

By the afternoon, everything shifts to Yarborough Landing in Ashdown, where weigh-ins start at 3:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

If you want to follow along during the day, live coverage via NPFL GO LIVE runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so you can keep up with the action before heading out in person.

Where the Action Happens: Millwood Lake

This tournament stop was originally planned for Wright Patman Lake, but it has since been moved to Millwood Lake in Arkansas. While the location on the water has changed, Texarkana is still playing a big role in the event.

Millwood Lake is one of the more unique fisheries in the region, covering around 35,000 acres with large sections of standing timber. All takeoffs and weigh-ins will happen at Yarborough Landing in Ashdown, which is where you’ll want to be each afternoon to see what the anglers are bringing in.
